Audit Committee

In follow up to initial discussions between the CROES council and the Executive Board of the Endourological Society, it was decided to install an Audit Committee for the CROES studies. The arguments for this are multiple and include monitoring, validation and quality control of the data coming from the different studies. We are aware that self-reported data may harbour some limitations, irrespective all participating centres contribute in good faith and on voluntarily basis. However, CROES needs to safeguard that the conclusions coming from the studies are impeccable and accurate.

Auditing of the data can be performed either electronically or on site. The unique web-based database Management System includes some special features that enable to audit the data electronically without jeopardizing the comfort to collect and document data. In addition, some centres will be selected to have an audit of their data on site either randomly or based on the information provided.
